Patience, lighting, and mostly, a little luck

I try to make time during travel around the country to capture local wildlife. Even a quick 15 minute detour off the highway in most places opens up a new world of locations. National parks are great, but public lands, lakes, rivers and more all offer opportunities to capture something interesting.
